Liechtenstein is a small alpine country located between Austria and Switzerland. This tiny citizen has an area of only 160 square kilometers and a population of 37,132. It is the only country in the world that is entirely located in the Alps. In terms of GDP per capita ($25,000), Liechtenstein is the richest country in the world. The unemployment rate in Liechtenstein is also very low – less than 1.5 percent.
Liechtenstein has a unitary parliamentary system and a constitutional monarchy. The administrative center of the nation is located in the country’s capital, Vaduz. Liechtenstein has 11 municipalities and Schaan is the largest city in the country with an area of 25 square kilometers. German is the official language of Liechtenstein. Metallurgy, ceramics, dental products and electronics are the main industries in Liechtenstein. This alpine country is also one of the world’s most popular winter sports destinations.

The unemployment rate is one of the lowest in the world at 1.5%. Liechtenstein was known in the past as a tax haven for billionaires; however, it is no longer on any blacklists of non-cooperating tax haven countries.
