Top 10 Most Beautiful Wedding Cakes In The World

Night Trash Cake

Nevi Pirog

Pictured above, this is a deconstructed “junk” trivia cake, which is the essence of a three-tiered pie stacked on top of trivia.

Cake maker Natasha Collins decided to create a battered rhubarb and custard tart in a classic trifle, based on a rich chocolate mud cake topped with dark ganache.

The design is topped with what looks like a traditional wedding cake – but it’s actually a vanilla bean sponge with strawberry jam – while on top of that is balanced by a “pork pie” of apples and blackberries.

Glittering crazes like the sugar-coated “yes you can eat” ashtray filled with cigarette biscuits and coconut ash will leave guests gasping for breath.

“My inspiration was the fun side of wedding party leftovers,” says Natasha. “Everything on this cake is edible, including the rice paper lace (which took a whole day to make) and the creative punch of confetti.”

Rotating Flying Cake

Peborion

The cake pictured above spins and actually flies with the top layer of each literally floating, but no strings attached.

But with no visible filaments or wires, guests are left wondering “how?” But pastry chef Christina Jensen refuses to reveal her secrets.

The elegant confection even comes with its own discreet “bodyguard” as part of the price to stop curious guests.

Christina says: “Guests can watch the cake float, turn and hang, and then you just lift the top layer, cut the cake and eat it.

Eat Greens

Nevi Pirog

The Crudité wedding cake is the new trend and over 500 vegetable “cookies” including carrots, leeks, peas and red chives adorn this beautiful creation.

And the green theme continues with 16kg of vegetables baked into a cake that includes layers of sweet potato, coconut and lime, chocolate beets, Mexican chocolate and avocado.

Even the cabbage “topper” is a spicy pumpkin pie with lemon.

“It was inspired by my love of making vegan cookies—they always surprise,” says cake creator Natasha Collins. “It took four days to make them plus seven to create the cake.”

Unicorn Carousel

Tattooed bakers

This intricate piece of art took 160 hours to complete and one tail took three days.

“Everything is edible, except for the unicorn’s legs and the pole that holds this 80-pound bread,” says cake creator Eddie Amon-Lebeau, one of the halves of the tattooed bakers.

“We wanted to show that there are no limits to what you can choose for your wedding.”

Inside, you’ll find a rainbow sponge (what else can you make a unicorn out of?) with a mane, using Rice Krispies for texture.

Your Place in the Cake

By level By level

This cake is guaranteed to make you double take.

“On the one hand, it looks traditional with lace and scrolls, but rotate it as you’re about to cut it and you’ll discover something else—your meeting point,” says cake creator Julia Baker.

“Everything here is edible, except for the Swarovski crystal chandelier and piano, including the paintings and the wooden floor.”

Cake “Behind the rainbow”

Fondane Fox and Meringue Girls

A kaleidoscope of over 600 meringues – some of which are gin and tonic flavored – make up this eye-catching cake.
And at the end of the rainbow are two sponges decorated with fairy Persian rose water.

“You set it up as a dessert and sweet table for guests to help yourself,” says Carla Fox of Fondant Fox.

“Cloud cakes can be taken for photos of cake cutting, then everyone can choose the meringue.”

Sweet shop

By pies of Georgia

This five-tiered creation brings back memories of old-fashioned candy stores, with embellishments including lollipops, pasta, meringue kisses, a chocolate drop, and buckets of hundreds and thousands.

George Green says, “Do you know how your eyes light up when you see a pick mix stand? What better day to get that feel-good factor than on your big day?

Flamingo Love Cake

Choccywoccydoodah

For chocolate lovers, this is a dream come true.

This is a rich, velvety chocolate truffle cake, topped with Belgian icing and fully decorated with handmade chocolate sculptures.

Creative director Christina Taylor said: “My inspiration was the 150th anniversary of Alice In Wonderland and all the love and fun it celebrates is like a wedding.

But there is nothing quick and easy about this labor of love: green chocolate dahlias alone take 10 hours.

Bridal bouquet

Biscuits Krishanthi

This relatively petite and delicate floral masterpiece is both for your decor and for your dessert.

The vase on the pedestal with cherubs around the base is actually made from an almond-drenched sponge with clementine syrup, layered with juicy orange curd and buttercream.

Decorative peonies, dahlias, poppies and cosmos are a sweet labor of love that looks like flowers from a Dutch still life.

Haute couture cake maker Kristanti – a former investment banker who studied the sugar craft for years – said: “The cake itself lasts about 10.

But if you want a more traditional cake-cutting moment, it can be placed on top of another cake for considerable effort.
